Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge Raises $2,500 for Breast Cancer Outreach from Pink Ribbon Blackjack Table

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Dec. 1, 2022 – Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge, a thrilling riverboat casino docked on the Mississippi River at 1717 River Rd., raised $2,500 from its Pink Ribbon Blackjack Table during the month of October to donate to Foundation for Woman’s, a local nonprofit organization.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to support Foundation for Woman’s and their amazing programs for women,” said Matt Shehadi, general manager of Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge. “It’s vital for women to know there are measures they can take to prevent breast cancer and that places like Woman’s Hospital exist to provide treatment if necessary.”

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, 5% of winnings were collected from the specialty Pink Ribbon Blackjack Table to be donated to Woman’s Hospital, the only freestanding, private, nonprofit specialty hospital for women and infants in the U.S. Donations will support breast cancer outreach, including Woman’s Mammography Coaches that provide lifesaving mammograms to women in need throughout 31 parishes in Louisiana. Since the start of this charitable initiative 10 years ago, Hollywood Casino has donated more than $32,000 to support breast cancer programs at Woman’s.
