DraftKings at Casino Queen Revamps Parking Accommodations to Go Greener and Enhance Accessibility
East St. Louis, Ill. – March 1, 2023 – DraftKings at Casino Queen, located at 200 South Front St. along the Mississippi River, has unveiled enhanced parking accommodations, including the addition of electric vehicle power stations and more accessible parking.
The new sustainability-focused parking amenities include four charging stations by EVgo, one of the nation’s largest public fast-charging networks, now available for use. Each charging station features two cords each that run on 100% renewable energy and will allow guests and locals alike to power up their electric vehicles within minutes. With the EVgo fast chargers, vehicle batteries can reach an 80% charge within 20-45 minutes, depending on vehicle type. In order to use the chargers, drivers can pay at the charging station or download the EVgo app to pay from their phone.
DraftKings at Casino Queen also updated the parking lot to be more accessible, now providing a total of 26 accessible parking spaces. Compliant with state regulations, each space is 16-feet wide, including access aisles designated by yellow diagonal striping; are located within the shortest route to the property’s accessible entrance; and feature proper signage.
