The Queen Casino & Entertainment Announces New Name for Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge: “The Queen Baton Rouge”
Baton Rouge, Louisiana – April 17, 2023 – The Queen Casino & Entertainment has announced that Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge will become The Queen Baton Rouge this fall. The name change will come as part of a complete brand transformation that embodies the completion of an estimated $85 million transformation project that includes moving the casino to a new landside facility, increasing the total footprint from 62,000 to more than 100,000 square feet, and the addition of innovative gaming, dining and entertainment venues. The name change was approved by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board today.

The Queen Baton Rouge will offer more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor gaming space with enticing options for every player. Guests will enjoy a casino experience with more than 750 gaming machines and 18 table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette and pai gow poker; as well as numerous electronic table options. LIT Casino & Bar will offer a dedicated smoking patio with craft cocktails, beer and wine in a lively atmosphere. A DraftKings Sportsbook will showcase a new gaming destination with contemporary design, a full bar and the latest sports wagering technology. The DraftKings Sportsbook will give players the opportunity to place wagers on a variety of betting markets across professional and collegiate sports via 20 kiosks and four betting windows. Lounge-style seating, a 28-foot video wall and oversized high-definition TVs will provide optimal viewing for sports fans looking to catch their favorite sporting events.
The Queen Baton Rouge will unveil expanded dining experiences for locals and visitors alike. Its signature full-service restaurant and entertainment venue, 1717 will specialize in rustic American cuisine with a twist for lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy live performances on the interior stage and the restaurant’s bar will provide a social setting for guests as well as high-definition TVs to catch the latest sporting events. The Loft at 1717 will feature an outdoor patio for additional dining and private parties overlooking the Mississippi River.
Three exciting quick-service restaurants will also be unveiled, including Big Chicken; which will serve its signature big chicken sandwiches with big flavor overlooking the Mississippi River; 3 Woks Noodle Bar will serve a variety of authentic Asian cuisine; and Capitol Coffee Baton Rouge will offer a selection of traditional brews, modern teas, items for breakfast and lunch, and more.
The Queen Baton Rouge will introduce a flexible event space with more than 6,000 square feet across three multi-purpose rooms capable of accommodating more than 200 guests for corporate gatherings, weddings, private parties and more. Guests hosting events will have an array of food and beverage menus to meet the needs of any gathering.
