The Queen Baton Rouge to Usher in Luck and Cure Hangovers with New Year’s Day Dishes

BATON ROUGE, La. – Dec. 18, 2023 – New Year’s Eve revelers can start 2024 off headache-free and with a bowl full of good fortune at The Queen Baton Rouge, with a hearty hangover burger and a traditional soup at available at 1717 KITCHEN + COCKTAILS.

Created by Executive Chef Kevin Foil, 1717 KITCHEN + COCKTAILS will offer a cure for partygoers getting a slow start into the New Year with its Hangover Burger: an 8-ounce Angus beef patty topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg and bloody mary aioli, priced at $18. The New Year’s Day Soup will tap into Southern traditions and flavors, filled with ham, black-eyed peas, cabbage and vegetable trinity, served with cornbread and priced at $9.

The menu at 1717 KITCHEN + COCKTAILS is complete with inventive flatbreads, tacos, sandwiches, entrées, desserts and more. 1717 recently introduced new lunch combos, available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, including choice of soup served with either house or Caesar salad; chicken Caesar wrap and choice of soup; Grown-Up Grilled Cheese and cup of tomato basil soup; among others, each priced at $16. A variety of locally brewed beers and popular domestic brews are available on tap for $3 each, along with signature cocktails.
