DraftKings at Casino Queen to Celebrate 30th Anniversary Throughout June
East St. Louis, Illinois – May 30, 2023 – DraftKings at Casino Queen, at 200 Front St. along the Mississippi River, will celebrate its 30th anniversary throughout the month of June. The dynamic property, which recently unveiled a massive renovation, including the addition of a state-of-the-art sportsbook through a partnership with sports wagering leader, DraftKings, originally opened on June 23, 1993.
“This property has been a social hub for the St. Louis community for more than 30 years; and in that time has transformed from a small riverboat casino to what is now a vibrant entertainment destination,” said Marc VanderWeele, general manager of DraftKings at Casino Queen and a team member since opening day in 1993. “”We look forward to hosting our friends, neighbors and visitors for years to come.”
DraftKings at Casino Queen will officially honor its anniversary on Friday, June 23, with $1 bottles of Bud Light at QBAR, located on the casino floor. Starting at 10 a.m., CQ Rewards members will receive commemorative 30th anniversary CQ Rewards cards and bungees, while supplies last. Beginning at 10 a.m., players may swipe their CQ Rewards card at a promotion kiosk to claim a free cupcake from the Player’s Club. From 4 to 7 p.m., 30 guests actively playing with a CQ Rewards card may win up to $100 in Royal Free Play every half hour.
A specialty cocktail and featured entrée have also been created to honor the anniversary month. The 1993, served at QBAR for $2 every Thursday throughout June, is made with Razzmatazz liqueur, vodka and Sprite. Bridgeway, DraftKings at Casino Queen’s contemporary full-service restaurant, will offer a specialty entrée: a 10-ounce prime rib served with a baked potato. The meal will be available beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays in June, priced at $30. Guests will also enjoy $5 all-beef hot dogs and $2 bags of Lays potato chips, will be available from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in the casino promenade.
CQ Rewards members can enjoy a variety of gaming promotions throughout June. A selection of birthday party gifts will be available on Wednesdays throughout the month, including heavy-duty outdoor string lights; Gibson Home Jewelite five-piece drinkware set; LED fan speaker with FM radio and carrying handle; and a Mason Craft & More three-quart slow cooker.
DraftKings at Casino Queen will offer special pricing for hotel rooms with a flash sale, available in June, only. Starting at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 30 rooms will be available for $30 for stays on Friday, June 23. Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, guests who book a hotel room for a Friday night on dates between Friday, June 23 and Saturday, July 22 may stay Saturday night for an additional $30. From June through September, guests who book hotel reservations for stays Thursday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Dec. 29 will receive 30% off their stay.
With humble beginnings as a riverboat, DraftKings at Casino Queen took its maiden voyage down the Mississippi River on June 23, 1993. The 157-room Casino Queen hotel was completed in January 2000, followed by the casino’s move the land in August 2007.
